About Oviedo Medical Center
A new full-service healthcare resource is coming to Central Florida. Oviedo Medical Center, scheduled to open in 2017, will deliver a wide array of in demand services to an expanding population in Seminole County and beyond.
Oviedo Medical Center will include a 64-bed hospital, 22-bed emergency department and an adjacent medical office building. The hospital’s modern design and up-to-date technology will provide a world-class facility to support local physicians in delivering excellent patient care.
Oviedo Medical Center will be built on the same property where Oviedo ER, a freestanding emergency department that is a department of Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford, is currently located. Oviedo ER will be expanded to 22 beds and will become the Oviedo Medical Center emergency department. In addition to 24/7 emergency care, the new 64-bed acute care hospital will bring a full range of healthcare services to east Seminole County and surrounding communities. Services will include medical and surgical inpatient units, intensive care, medical cardiology, telemetry, cardiac catheterization, inpatient and outpatient surgery, women’s services including labor and delivery, cardiopulmonary services, comprehensive diagnostic imaging and physical, occupational and speech therapy. When it opens in 2017, Oviedo Medical Center is expected to serve more than 35,000 patients in its first year.
